iPhone software: GPSy tracker 4.0 3GS

Utilize multitasking, the new capability of iOS 4!


GPSy is an easy to use GPS tracker running in background - just start recording path, press the home button and go back to the GPSy tracker when you want to stop recording. In the meantime, you can talk, taking photos and just use any application you want.

Are you running, biking, skiing or sailing? Thanks to GPSy tracker you can save your path and share with your friends by email or facebook. The application will save your track so you can compare your run with the save one. It will show the distance, time and average speed of your jurney.


Warning! This application works only on iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS with iOS 4.0 - because it is utilizing mutitasking capabilities of the new OS!
With GPS enabled, even in background, the battery consuming will be higher, so please check the battery status while recording the path.

Help and tips

To start recording the path press button. Then, you can just press the "home" button to send the application to the backgroud. The path will be saved automatically while you are moving.
To go back to the application, just touch its icon again. Note the badge (number "1") displayed with the icon - it indicates that tracking is enabled and the application is saving your path now. There is also a system indicator at the top status bar showing that an application with positioning capabilities is running right now.
Now press "Stop recording". It will bring up the details screen with path drawn on the google map:

This screen shows information about the path and enables social capabilitest: share the path (information and image) via email or on facebook. Just touch the button, type You facebook login and password (the password it's not stored in the application to provide high security) and let your friends see your activity.
You can always go back to the saved paths by pressing button. This will show you a list of your paths. This list can be easly rearrange by moving or deleting the cells.
